The short version

Pulse comes in two forms, and neither one has a Scriptix Labs server or any analytics. The Jira app runs entirely on Atlassian; the browser extension runs entirely in your browser. This policy covers both.

Pulse — the Jira app (Atlassian Forge)

The Pulse app is an Atlassian Forge app that runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure ("Runs on Atlassian"). It has no external servers, makes no network calls outside Atlassian, and collects no analytics.

What it stores (in Atlassian Forge storage, keyed by your Atlassian account ID):

  • Per-user preferences: working hours and days, reminder settings, holidays/PTO dates
  • Favorite issue keys, recent search terms, saved report presets, saved teams, and log templates
  • Active timer state (which issue, when started/paused)
  • Week-submission records (which weeks you marked complete, and when)

Worklogs themselves are stored by Jira, not by Pulse— Pulse creates and reads native Jira worklogs through Jira's own API, always acting as you, with your permissions. No data leaves Atlassian.

Pulse Companion — the browser extension

Pulse Companion is a client-side browser extension. There is no Scriptix Labs backend, and none of your data is ever sent to us.

What it stores (locally, in your browser's extension storage):

  • Your Jira site URL, account email, and API token (used to authenticate to Jira as you)
  • Your preferences, saved templates, saved teams, favourites, and report presets
  • If you enable calendar import: OAuth tokens for your Google and/or Microsoft account

The extension makes requests directly from your browser, with your own credentials, to:

  • Your Jira Cloud site (*.atlassian.net) — read your issues and read/write your worklogs
  • Google Calendar — only if you enable meeting import, to read your events
  • Microsoft Graph — only if you enable Outlook / Microsoft 365 import, for the same purpose

On code-host pages (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and Jira issue pages, the extension reads the Jira issue key visible on the pageto offer a one-click log or an inline timer. It reads only what's needed to detect the key and sends nothing off the page.

What neither product does

  • No analytics, telemetry, tracking pixels, or cookies of our own
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with anyone
  • No third-party subprocessors — everything talks to services you already use
  • Exports (CSV/Excel) are generated on your device and downloaded directly to you

Removing your data

Uninstalling the Pulse app removes its Forge storage per Atlassian's app data lifecycle. Uninstalling the extension removes all of its locally stored data, including your API token. In both cases your worklogs remain in Jira, untouched — they were never ours.
